This country inn, with wood fire burning in the bar,
is family run, and provides home-cooked food using fresh local
produce. Central to the road network of the Northern Highlands, it
gives
easy access to the best scenery and most popular visitor
attractions; and also to the main urban centre, Inverness. |
|
Kilcoy Arms is an old stone-built inn extensively
renovated and re-opened in 1996. The bedrooms are all en suite.
Food is served in the dining room or the popular local bar: it is
all home-cooked in our own kitchen using fresh local ingredients.
As well as a quick menu of soup, sandwiches, and baked potatoes,
we offer starters such as smoked salmon, or savoury profiteroles;
and main courses like smoked haddock in a fish pie or ham with
parsley sauce. Dinner menus include more elaborate dishes like
wild venison marinated in sloe gin and casseroled with red wine
and mushrooms.
